- Ages 9 weeks up to 5 months. This is one of the most important courses to start your puppy in the right direction. It was designed to emphasize the importance of social skills and the positive reinforcement techniques to use to help shape your puppy to become the best they can be for you and your family. We include the S.T.A.R. Puppy Program, developed by the American Kennel Club. This program was designed to help identify early signs of potential behavior issues and to assist in shaping and developing your puppy’s highest potential. The exercises taught in puppy kindergarten will help you understand how to accomplish the training needed to develop a puppy into a model Canine Good Citizen, CGC, also developed by the American Kennel Club. We give you the knowledge you will need to develop successful behaviors in; attention, social skills, exercise, owner responsibility and good house manners with commands of sit, down, stay, come, walk nicely without pulling, wait at doors, greet people without jumping up, and greet other dogs properly. We also cover common puppy issues like play biting and house breaking along with grooming techniques and the value of nutrition. Our puppy class is the most extensive puppy program around to insure that you and your puppy get off to the right start. Six weeks one hour once a week course includes:
