• This course is for dogs that have successfully completed basic obedience. The class includes fine tuning basic skills and marker words, including the watch command, longer sit and down stays with distractions, come front, finish in proper heel position, introduction to retrieves and off leash obedience. The course also includes preparation for the Canine Good Citizen testing and preparation for Therapy Dog testing. This is an extensive fast pace and fun class that includes incorporating games with obedience. This class can also help owners with improving handling techniques for problem dogs. It is a 6 week, one hour, once a week course that includes but is not limited to:
• Fine tuning attention with distractions
• Fine tuning basic obedience skills with distractions and duration
• Come Fronts and finishes to heel position
• Canine Good Citizen testing preparation
• Introduction to off leash obedience
• Introduction to Retrieves
• Leave it command
• Relay games and heeling patterns
• Therapy Dogs International (TDI) and/or Pet Partners (formerly Delta Society) testing preparation.
